At first, most conflicts left the viewer to imagine what might have happened next. But as time went on, more and more battles ended with sexy statements such as the one at right, from a 1948 issue of Flirt. |

As readers obviously voiced their desire for less suggestion & more show, the publishers quickly responded with delightful, "okay, here's the spanking" quickies like this one from the February 1948 issue of Eyeful Magazine. Naturally in light of the day, none of the photos could show nudity, but the magazines were very good at letting readers imagine very lucky ladies like "Sorority Sue" & others taking that next natural step & stripping bare the bouncing bottoms they so capably spanked... Spanking's in the news a good deal these days, with public polls proving that a majority of American parents approve using the flat of the hand or the hairbrush to keep their wayward daughters in line. But there's more to the problem than meets the eye at first glance. If daughter's a little hard to handle at home, isn't she going to be the same way at school? American educators answer with a resounding "YES!" We know that spankings with hand or ruler, and even whippings with birch switches or belts, go on in some American schools, with or without official sanction. But if little girls get out of hand and have to be disciplined once in a while, what about big ones? These pictures, posed by professional models, tell the tale. New York is full of small private schools attended by glamorous gals who want to learn how to be models. Most of them are serious-minded sweeties who really want to advance in their profession and study hard. But once in a while a troublemaker comes along. Tough Gal To Handle Eve Raymond was one of that kind. A cute brunette with long limbs and all the exciting points that add up to top-notch modeling material, she just wouldn't keep her mind on her work. Yessiree, Eve was a tough gal to handle. In the first place, she wouldn't do her homework. What kind of homework does a modeling student have? Well, she has to walk around with a book on top of her head for one, so she'll acquire perfect posture to show off her attractions. But Eve figured she had plenty on the ball in that department to begin with, so she didn't want to bother. But our honey had a real tough teacher, name of Fran Manner. She's a buxom beauty, built husky enough to take care of any of her pupils. And she's a firm believer in real punishment, too! Fran gave Eve plenty of warning, but Eve was downright insolent in her attitude toward her teacher , who only wanted to help her, after all. "I won't strut around all night with a silly book on my head," Eve pouted. "I'd rather go out with boys, and I'm going to!" What's a teacher going to do? The pupils in a modeling school are big girls and if they're uncooperative the chances are their parents can't handle them either. Fran decided she'd try to shame Eve into doing her homework. She made Eve try to walk around the classroom with a book on her head, but Eve couldn't. The book fell off before she could take three steps. All the other girls laughed. Then Fran made Eve put on the dunce's cap and sit in the corner. But Eve wasn't ashamed one bit. She just laughed and jeered at the teacher, teasing and taunting her to the point of desperation. Finally Fran went over to the bad pupil and said, "Eve, you're upsetting the whole class." She waved a ruler menacingly. "Are you going to stop?" Luscious Legs "Nope," Eve said, hiking up her short skirt another couple of inches along her luscious legs. The teacher was livid. She put down the book and ruler and seized Eve by one wrist, forcing her off the dunce's stool. She continued to twist our cutie's arm until she had forced her to one silk-clad knee. "Apologize for your insolence," Fran demanded. Eve shook her head. Fran twisted a little harder. Finally Eve said, "Let go, and I'll apologize!" Fran let go of her pupil's arm, but she wasn't convinced. She picked up the ruler again. "Let's hear the apology," she commanded. But Eve's wrist didn't hurt then, so she didn't feel like apologizing. "Nuts to you, you old meanie," she said. That was the last straw. Before Eve knew what had hit her, Fran had jerked her off her feet and onto her own, ample lap. She said, "I'm doing this for your own good, Eve. You'll never get to be a model unless you study. And you deserve a good lesson for the way you've acted toward me!" And she applied the flat of her hand to Eve's "seat of knowledge." Fran had a powerful right arm and her hand rose and fell, rose and fell with the regularity and force of a steam piston. Each time it reached its target the sound was like the crack of a whip. All the other students watched in horrified fascination. Eve was wriggling and squirming and twisting like a worm on a hook. She was really learning a lesson! At last she couldn't stand it any longer. "Please stop!" she screamed. "I'm really sorry, teacher. I won't do it any more!" But Fran kept right on going for another five minutes, until she was fully satisfied that Eve had learned a lesson. Our cutie had to sit on pillows for a week, but she learned how to walk with a book on her head, and she never made any more trouble in modeling school. P.S. Eve went on to become a highly successful model of lingerie (she has the figure for it, too!) and she says she's very grateful to Fran for teaching her the error of her ways.
